I feel a g times smarter for reading this volume. Or, at least, a thousand times less ignorant; more equipped; better able to empathise. It's a perfect introduction to the earth of left-wing politics. I've already recommended it to a few people and lent it to ane other. Information technology substantially devotes a few pages each to every kind of social justice move; from vanguardism to children'due south rights; from radical feminism to environmentalism. She summarizes everything and so well that even adherents to th I feel a grand times smarter for reading this book. Or, at to the lowest degree, a thousand times less ignorant; more equipped; ameliorate able to empathize. It's a perfect introduction to the world of left-wing politics. Cynthia Kaufman was my professor at De Anza college (most 20 years ago) back when I was a little dykling exploring my behavior, politics and,well, my voice. She was an inspiration and I volition always value all that I learned in her form. This book is a microcosm of all that I took away from my classroom feel as it demonstrates her ability to explore ideas, critically analyze pros/cons of theories and engage the reader in the excitement and possibility of alter.

A surprisingly good intro to leftist politics/philosophy. Defintely a adept read for young activisty types (if thats your thing). Non actually my thing, but would be a skilful read for others.
